relative speaking , their specs sucks , and theyr equally expensive or more expensive , the iphone 4 still being sold for 580$ , a single core phone , while dual cores are around 450-500$ now.

Im talkin about battery consumption , apple software designers are not so good at energy efficiency , a 3.7" screen with such simple os shouldnt be this power hungry. and btw io5 has a glitch , its battery is draining super fast , they released a fix , it got worse.

check gartner's numbers you will know what iam talking about.
Iphone is not dominant anymore , numbers speak for themselves , gone are the days of smartphone monopoly by the iphone , they used to lead and innovate , now they follow and replicate.

Who are the iphone buyers? lets have a look from the people that i know.
people who want to buy an expensive smartphone >> okay ill buy an iphone ,everyone says its good , he does not know about any other phones , iphone's 2007 reputation still has its echo until now.
fashion and style lovers, they want to buy an iphone just for the sakes of "yaba ana 7emel iphone" and these are probably the majority.
early adapters , once they know about other phones , they drop the iphone and never come back , and of these i know alot.

These discussion are getting boring... Would you people learn how to value technology, respect the difference and accept competition? If there was no competition in the market, there wouldn't be any progress from anyone. iOS and Android are both prone to bugs and security problems. However, iOS is being more stable. Android is getting better in each release and IceCreamSandwich now will be competing very well. The thing that most of people do not consider, iPhone is a couple of hardware and software that are well customized to work together. Apple relies very much on the hardware to have controll over the iPhone (you might want to look for the real difference between an untethered and tethered jailbreak to understand what I'm talking about / Another example would be Siri on 4S). On the other hand, Android is just the operating system and yet we have no well defined standards for the hardware. For example Android developers face problems in adapting to a variety of screen types and resolutions. Sometimes I notice some people comparing iPhone to Android. Kids, it is between iOS and Android if we want to be more rational. Google should work on standarizing the hardware that will run Android. If not for all the brands, at least for their Google phone (just a question, why do Google phones looks bad unlike other phones running Android?!). Also, they should be more selective concering the applications in their market and should use the same code-signing policies and concepts adopted by Apple because a lot of malware applications are invading the Android market, putting Android users at risk. Now for people who like to have fun with their devices, they would be able to do *nearly anything if they root their devices. The same thing is applied to iPhone users, but what they can do after jailbreak is a little less than Android users getting root. Android is more into "Open", more into "Freedom". Apple doesn’t want you to jailbreak your device. If your iPhone breaks, don’t even dare take it into an Apple Store. Google, on the other hand, lacks an official stance on the matter but probably doesn’t care whether your device is rooted or not. An indication of this are the root-only applications available in its Android Market, something that Apple would never allow. One more thing to add, Google should work their IDE and SDK tools. The Android simulator is slow an requires large resources to run smoothly while the iOS simulator runs pretty fast and XCode being the IDE is pretty cool with the integrated interface builder and the smart intellisense.

It could be due to the "4" at the end of the phone's name, or it could be because the owner is just not knowledgeable about smartphones. Either way, a recent survey shows that 34% of Apple iPhone 4 owners think that their handset is a 4G enabled phone. Perhaps even more incredible is the 24% of BlackBerry users that think that their handset is running 4G speeds. Where these people get the idea that the 'Berry in their hand is pumping out data at a 4G rate is not easy to understand, especially with no "4" in the name of any of RIM's smartphones.

The survey, conducted by Retrevo, also found that even without 4G connectivity, 40% of Apple iPhone users would buy the next version of the iPhone even if it didn't offer 4G service, while 21% would consider buying it. 8% of Android users would switch to a 4G-disabled iPhone and 12% would consider it. 23% of BlackBerry users would swap their phone for a non-4G Apple touchscreen handset while 18% would give it a thought.

Despite what the carriers would have you think, many are reluctant to switch to 4G service. While 30% believe that 4G plans are too expensive, 22% think that the additional speed is not worth additional money. 19% are not informed enough to know. Part of the problem stems from the changed definition of what is considered 4G service. Last year, the definition of what constitutes 4G service was changed, which allowed AT&T and T-Mobile to call their HSPA+ service 4G after T-Mobile started the trend in its commercials. Most communications experts say that of the four top Stateside carriers, Verizon's LTE is the closest to being a true 4G network.

Those are the iphone buyers , they know nothin about tech , only mezmerized by the marketing of apple , its 34% there , in lebanon its probably up to 90% or 95% of iphone users.
