heyk lhay2a. something else that sucks is that upload and download are now counted as one thing. ya3neh ma 3emlo chi... speed was increased, they cannot claim that capacity was. I mean if you use video calls often or you occasionnaly upload shit to facebook, the old system was better.
I also wonder why the ministry made it a law that 1 mbps would be the minimum speed? I can use up my monthly internet in 10 hours with this quota, I didn't need that speed. if they made a 256 or 512 unlimited package which was cheap I would have taken that. I wish for once we had a minister that really knew what he was doing in his ministry I both called and sent them an email complaining... hoping to reach results. what the heck am I gonna do? fi unlimited am la2??

ok today I got the same problem again, and I complained... again
why did they have to reinvent the wheel, their system had always been from 11 to 7, they decided no we should do it from 12 to 8

HI to all,
I will summarize in short the debate for internet and providers in Lebanon. all ISPs will tell you they have the greatest quality and offers etc ... the easiest an most reliable way is to compare the isps in the same location (ex: Hamra) with the same packages (ex: 1Mb package) and check the latency, upload speed, download speed. I have done all the above and the results are; SODETEL had the best latency which means they are using the fiber optics international network and not the Satellite which is of lower quality. SODETEL also had the better upload and download even though the difference is not huge. SO my advice, go with SODETEL it is owned by a french company France Telecom and their standards are way higher and more advanced than the local ISPs like IDM, Cyberia etc.. |
