well RedRose i didn't mean to blame you but i have asked 4 questions in the begining and i didn t get answers but the next part is just giving some points in commun between arabic countries and israel becuz u said syria will never be equal to israel maybe it won't but i just needed to show the things in commun . and i never say that who criticize israel is a syrian no he s not but what i'm trying to say is that we all blame israel and we have the right but why we can't look in both directions u can't heal the world if u can't heal yourself first i'm against everyone who just talk about syria and forget israel and also i m against everyone who talk about israel and forget other arabic countries in other meaning let s be fair in our judgement .

Dear Lebanon10452, I will try to answer your questions at once.
If we want to discuss Syrian-Hizbolla relation we should go back to the very begining. When Hizbolla was first declared publically, Syria considered it a threat to its interests. This position was translated clearly in the war of "Ekleem al Tofa7" (a region in south lebanon), where, Amal and the palestineans, backed up by the syrian army, attacked Hizbolla members and beseiged them. Another famous incident occured in Fat7alla Street (Basta) were tens of Hizbolla members were excuted publicly by the syrian army. The war ended and syria was not able to achieve its goal by eliminating Hizbolla... Due to common interests and since both are facing a common enemy, this tense relation changed later to become as following: Allies facing Israel, Opponents in Lebanese affairs HOW? Syria supported Hizbolla politically and logistically, disqualifying all who opposed military resistance, supporting the resistance internationally, and passing weapons and ammos to the south. Hizbolla in return, supported the syrian position in negotiation. Internally, things were different. Hizbolla's conflict with Syria was clear in various points: =Hizbolla continous conflict with Amal, and we all know that Amal is considered Syria's main ally in Lebanon. =Hizbolla never participated in any government under syrian occupation. even those headed by Salim Hoss. =They also, didnt approve any government and were mainly in the oppostion side. =Certain violent conflicts between hizbolla supporters and the Lebanese regime, like in Sept 93 under the Airport bridge, Sobhi Tofayli revolution, and Hay Sellom accident This ambivalent relationship bewteen Syria and Hizbolla may seem contradictory and hypocritic. But Hezbolla's goal to liberate the South was not possible without the syrian help. In the 8th of March meeting "Shokran Souria", if you listen carefully to what Nasralla was saying you could realize that all the thanks were particularly for supporting the resistance, he actually said more than once that syria had a lot of mistakes to be continued....

I dont think that by remembering every single victim and event that occured in the former war, we will be helping ourselves.
Every body commited crimes and had done billions of mistakes. Can I consider that if someone raises Basheer Jmayel's picture that he is grateful because he killed muslims during the war?? I am quite sure he is not, he is probably honoring him and what he symbolized and not honoring his mistakes. As for the economic effect of Syria, sure it was not helpful at all, espcially the corrupt syrian officers who stole a lot. And this was probably one of the worest effects of the syrian occupation..thanks to our clean and honest polticians. Finally, we all know that syria is not capable in liberating its land...in fact all arab armies can not do it alone...lets be reasonalbe. One last point regarding" el Kawmi al Sorri". Every party and every person has the right to think whatever he likes.....we cant punish them for their thoughts, we only have the right to do so if they use illegal method to acheive it.

Dear RedRoses i hope the dialogue between the parties is like the dialogue between you and me cause i'm convinced about what you said but there s just one point ,you told me that syria can't liberate it s country and let s be reasonable so if we don t have faith in liberating our country so we couldn't liberate the south so maybe we should be reasonable but if your admiting that we can't so the palestinians are fighting for nothing and also irakian people!!!!

I too hope every dialogue would be like ours, but I guess in a dialogue we should be on one side..
I think that we had pretty good examples recently that resistance can actually do something.... There is one important point to always remember, if you cant kick you enemy out of your country, you could at least let him feel unwelcome, and try to raise the cost of his occupation..Your enemy will sooner or later believe that it is useless to continue his occupation and will go away. This principle worked in Lebanon and Gaza, and I think it is working in Iraq. Regarding Syria, I am sorry to say that the syrians are really lazy...I have actually talked to many syrians about that. Some even declared that they do not care if they did not retrieve their land back!! They probably don't think that their land and liberty deserves sacrificing. Thats why the Baath ruled them so long and they never tried to change!!

Israel and Syria were behind everything bad happened to Lebanon. we cannot call Israel other than an enemy, in adition the " Baathist " syrian regime ruling Syria now is Lebanon's enemy too.

i think the biggest difference between syria and israel is that syria does not consider us as enemy but israel does..israelies see us as a threat to their country.. that's why they couldnt accept lebanon developing and becoming the stable and powerful country we're all dreaming of.. i live in europe since september, and i've met some of them.. trust me they're not that friendly! the only things that matters to them are israel's interests. and they dont see mutch more in us than in a bunch of retarded savages.. they clearly dislike us, and refering to what i've read on this forum, they seem to be the only ones who do not make differences between christians and muslims in lebanon..
since israel are invading our land (mazere3 chebaa), i consider them as ab enemy.. when they retire they are oponents! |
