Bashir Gemayel: Patriotic or Traitor ?!

since about 25 years, the president of the lebanese republic , bashir gemayel, was assasinated , but he still in the memory of thousands of lebanese.
his controversial life made him one of the lebanese history's men , even if some people didn't like him .
his political ideas where opposed or endorsed by many lebanese, some of them saw him as a patriotic leader , with a clear program, and some others accused him for being a traitor!

so what's your idea ? how do you rank that leader ? and why ?

Bachir Gmayel, he was a hero to some people,a Traitor to others, we can't judge him because at the time of the war things where different. Also he did what he thought was best,maybe he did mistakes like alot of leaders. But I would never consider him a Traitor.

When he became the lebanese president, he wanted to turn everything upside down, wanted to create a better lebanon, a lebanon we dream of!

Bachir was the dream for thousands of lebanese.
this guy had a project for this country he fought the invaders and wanted the real democracy of lebanon not bazi2 lazi2 democracy we have now.
he did mistakes but they were few in front of what he gave to this country himself, his daughter and protected lot of areas from the syrian palestinian occupations.

what a question, he fought against palestinian invaders and syrian invaders and you ask if he's patriotic or a traitor.

SSNP and HA, those are traitors, those are the ones allying with Syria nd Iran, and don't give me BG allied with ISrael or US, at least those countries could offer something to help advance Lebanon other than terrorism and kaak bikes.

The one who classifies this man as traitor should be burned right away.
They killed the dream, perhaps the only realistic dream to see a unified and strong Lebanon.
The alliance with Israel and USA everyone speaks of, as well as the "bad" militia days everyone brags about.. they had other sides, those who lived this era will definitely know what he was doing. A relative to me formed the Lebanese Forces alongside with BG, and I can tell you it's VERY different from now, LF after september 82 became a thug militia and nothing more, it's a shame.

For me, Bachir Gemayel was a living dream , and a life-time mourning when they killed him. I know that some members will bash him becoz of his relations with Israel, and his fightings especially with the SSNP. I didn't say he was a saint, and never committed an error in his life. But the difference between him and the others was and still is that Bachir when he felt that he will have the biggest responsibilty ever is to represent lebanon, he forseen him as the strong and free Lebanon.: " 10452 km2", that's why he cut all his foreign alliances and defy them all, u think that he was killed just for the SSNP believes? He was killed by all the countries that he refused to trade with them our land just for the sake of power which he gained it instead from the Lebanese people.

why are you saying that? he was working hard for a better lebanon,not the lebanon we are living in today...but his dream was destroyed...
