Trivia for
"Boy Meets World" (1993) (from IMDB)

• As an in-joke to the film 1776 (1972), the high school is named John Adams High. William Daniels played John Adams in the film, and plays the principal here.
• Several times throughout the years they mention how Cory and Topanga first met, but it's never the same story. Their "first" meeting happened at several different ages and places.
• The 'rules' posted in the John Adams High School cafeteria are "No loud talking, no reading, no shooting".

• In the beginning of the show, Shawn mentions he has a sister. This 'sister' helped with the "straightening" of Cory's hair in one of the episodes. However, later on in the show, we learn that Shawn doesn't have a sister.
• In one episode, William Daniels mentions that The Graduate (1967) was a great film. He played Mr. Braddock in that movie.
• In Episode 3-17 The Pink Flamingo Kid, we find out that Shawn has a half brother named Eddie, who he protects Cory from when Cory tapes him with stolen goods. We never hear about Eddie again, or a brother of Shawn's till Jack enters the show in season 5 as Shawn's half brother.
• In the series finale Cory talks to his little brother Joshua played by Daniel Jacob, earlier in the season Daniel Jacobs played the little boy standing in the hallway when Topanga and Cory move into their apartment in "The Honeymoon is Over"
• In another nod to William Daniels's 1776 role of John Adams, the episode where Eric decides he wants to be a teacher, the immigrants recite the Declaration of Independence in the final scene. The term "inalienable rights" was replaced with "unalienable rights," the term that John Adams fights to be replaced in a memorable scene in 1776, a phrase Thomas Jefferson refused to yield on.
• In episode 119, "Kid Gloves", we see Cory scuba diving in the school pool from his point of view, and then come up to the surface to see Mr. Feeny looking down on him. This mimicks a scene in The Graduate (1967) in which Dustin Hoffman's character comes up from scuba diving to see his father looking down on him who, like Mr. Feeny, is also played by William Daniels.
• The episodes "Prom-ises, Prom-ises", "If You Can't Be With the One You Love...", and "The Truth About Honesty" are banned from airing on The Disney Channel due to their frank discussion about pre-marital sex and teen drinking.
• In the episode when Topenga has a crush on Eric, she introduces her sister Nebula. After that episode we never hear from her again.
• Topanga's father, Jedediah Lawrence, has been played by three different actors: first Peter Tork, then 'Michael McKean' , and finally Mark Harelik. Her mother, Rhiannon Lawrence has been played by two different actresses: Annette O'Toole and Marcia Cross.
• During the seven seasons of Boy Meets World, Willie Garson appears as three different characters. He plays Leonard Spinelli, Mervyn, and the minister who marries Topanga and Cory.

• Continuity: In the seventh grade hallway, the boys bathroom was also used as Mr. Feeny's office and as a guidance counselors office.
• Incorrectly regarded as goofs: As with any long running series, certain details change as the show progresses and writers change. Both Shawn and Topanga, for instance, have sisters in the first season but are later depicted as only children. In the show's earlier years, Topanga's mom was named Chloe, but in later episodes she's known as Rhiannon. Inconsistencies like these are generally forgiven in series.
• Continuity: In the episode "Hair Today Goon Tomorrow" the guy who gives Topanga his card, his hair changes between the shots, in one shot there's a piece of hair in his face and the next it's gone, and then it's back again.

• Continuity: At one point, Cory states that Mr. Feeney has been his teacher since first grade. However, in the first episode Eric tells Cory that he's going to have Mr. Feeney now that he's in sixth grade, suggesting that he did not have him in previous grades.
• Continuity: The way Cory and Topanga met, how old they were when they were met and how long they have been "together" changes numerous times throughout the series.
• Continuity: The main characters were in the sixth grade and eleven years old when the series began in Fall of 1993. They should have graduated from high school, therefore, in the year 2000. Instead, two years were missing from their high school careers and the writers had them graduate in 1998.

It's just a gr8 show.
I used to watch it when I was still at school, now I don't have time for anything.
The good side in it is that it's still showing. They are all growing up and the cast is still the same.

well i have mainly watched all the episodes i have watched boy meets world since i was a kid i used to wait for it and i sat in front of the tv .. ohh miss these days .. anyways my favourite character was Eric he's the funniest he's the best then there's kory that guy makes me remember mysdelf he is so like me his personality and shon his best friend . topanga jhis gorlfriend lol ... wesome series
