1st of all thx, but I think in this time, this is the main criteria that everybody makes his decisions upon. why do u think the sunna have no problem & are working on giving the palestinians the lebanese citizenship? why are the shee3a an allies of Iran? or even the syrian regime, why are the sunna allies of KSA? why are the christians & shee3a agaisnt giving the citizenship to palestinians? why do some christians love ja3ja3 although they know he's a criminal? why do sunna love el harriri although they know he rubbed the country and destroying it these days? and the questions never end

I am sorry to say that sectarianism is the main factor which drives our decisions in this period of time. It's a bad thing, but it's true. At some point of time, i had no problem with uniting with syria if it gives us benefits. But now, noo, the hell no, if we are 35% of the poputation and we are treated like shit, how about when we become 5%. Even the christians have the same problem.

So, buttom line, i prefer keeping it this way

this question is to be answered NO in the way it's asked.
If any yes is to be anticipated the title should be "unity between lebanon and syria" and there's a huge difference.
For me i can't deny that my biggest dream is unity between people
but it's not that simple, there r steps to follow in every unity.
Personnaly i dream of the following unities but i do not call for one until
the previous ones r accomplished :
- Simultanously the lebanese unity and the religious islamic one (no sunni
and shi'i anymore )
- the unity between jordan lebanon palestine and syria
- the arabic unity
- the world wide unity

Question : when is the second unity possible ?
Answer : when all the lebanese sides stop feeling being a minority in the
east especially the christians, and focus on the common cultures (same
language .....)
Plus there r conditions for it to be possible like a democratic
system like the laic one for example.

In the actual circumstances my answer is no and hell no,
it's definitaly an impossible thing to accomplish.

u should note that it's the dictator regime that dominate majority who
does that rather than the majority itself, and the solution here is
democraty like i said.
Plus dreaming of something is far away of calling to accomplish it and
like i said the actual circumstances r not suitable.

you can't call for democracy when sectarianism is driving people. look at Iraq as an example, before applying democracy, people should be ready for democracy.
