hi man, it seems that one time u had a full msn contact list (alomst 100). all what u have to do is to sign in HOTMAIL and the go to contacts. there u will see something related to msn contacts, select some of them and delete (this step is a little slow and it needs some time). this is the solution for ur problem.

If you have an amount of contacts that is below the maximum amount and yet, you are not able to add a new one, this is most likely a server side issue that may show up after adding and deleting contacts for some time. Usually, this problem fixes itself after some time.

I have more than 800 block deleted contact and only 72 survivors I never had a problem with MSN.. So I think that perfectable's solution is to delete the block deleted mails. It can be done in Live MSN by doing the following:

Go to the contact list => Click on "Contacts" => "Filter Contacts" => "Show All Contacts"

Then, start deleting the block deleted mails.

I Will Tell You What Is The Solution Of Your Problem, And I Will Explain It.
Your Msn Contact List Contained 1000 Contacts Before. Means That It Is Full Now. When You Delete Them, Actually You Just Deleted Them From The List, But They Will Stay Between Your Contacts, That's Why It Is Full, And If You Sign In Using Msn 8.0 Or Windows Live Messenger You Will See These Contacts You've Deleted And There Is A Small Book Icon Beside Them. So You Have To Login Using Msn 8.0 Or Windows Live Messenger, And Delete Them Again In Order To Be Able To Login .
Or As My Bro Above Said, Sign In From Hotmail [dot] com, And Then Go To Contacts And Delete Them.
