No man they cant do anything if you have any illegal components, ma eloun ma3ak chou ma ykoun 3endak 3al HD (anyways you can always say that you didnt know it was illegal .. lol). As for hacking, well if ppl are knowlegeable in this domain, they will be clever enough to not get caught . Anyways, they couldnt get me for selling copies, they wont get me for atleast scaning .
BTW cracking (for any protection), if you mean apps or games cracking and keygening , well i dont know anybody in lebanon who does that . Only if god does this than i'll know one .

you all understood it wrong.
YES they have the right to check for your HDD if you have any illegal copies and YES they have the right to make you pay BECAUSE you have laws against it and they are now passing new ones for hacking and other stuff.
for the time it will take, not much if the US is backing it up, and it is. they will be providing training and tech support.
The aim of this police it to assist foreign anti-hacking departments in to stop/jail hackers/carders from here, because we do have a lot of them due to lack of laws.
They can kick you door, confiscate you PC and jail you untill proven inosent.
They can't make you say your password if your PC is encrypted with 40926 bits key :P
I am not backing off, im just taking my precautions now, who knows, maybe im on theire wanted list already

Before doing all this they need to trace you and know who you are.
can they? especially when u have the same IP with hundreds if not thousands of users.

before applying these rules, let them start by cleaning the market from the illegal cds , then they have to upgrade the rules of the internet usage , and the licenses of the ISPs in lebanon

the warez world is too huge, and those who are involved are more than many.
there should be an epolice in the US for example (in fact there is i mean), where each person has his own IP. well, they should have jailed millions for having illegal copies.
No one can jail the whole people. that is confusing.

They only jail members of release groupes, and site traders, (and other individuals ). But as for ppl who have illegal images on their HDD well, they cant search every single box to see who has and who hasnt . They'll only catch the ones who are selling those illegal copies ..glups. Hmm maybe that pass idea is worth doing.
BTW i always have backup HDD with all my goodies.

tracing you inside your private network is not hard, beleive me.
as long as ur not the hacker that hacked into ISF, or SG they are not gonna bother and trace you. but hek, they can. at least that's what they are aiming for. as for the laws, they are being prepared as we speak.
