can you tell me from what they need a protection ?
if you mean Israel , akid you noticed that in july war , not a single palestinian camp was bombarded , although it was a good chance for israel to attack them.

the story was that some HA officials were hiding in the camp, but the operation wasn't against the palestiniabs at all .
i meant in my post, that the palstinians kept their weapons , because they are threatened by israel,
and in july war , israel had the chance to execute that threat , so why they didn't take this chance ? ( i don't mean that i'm with bombarding the camps).
then , if in a war that lasts 33 days, none of the oprtations was against the palestinians , i don't think that israel is a threat against them anymore.

NON of the ha hided during the war ,shiites people yeh , they went there ,but when they bombed there , they bombed a base for the "gabha al sha3biyi" and around it there were houses so people got killed and injured.... and yeh theyr not threatend cuz they focusing on the war with hizbollah...
and no they should not hold weapons outside the camps , even inside of the camps .... but they need to have security inside it...and the lebanese darak cant interfere in it...

you're still missing the point ,
Isreal bombarded many places , thinking that HA leaders might be hiding there.
so the palestinian camp wasn't the direct target.

remember , that the palestinians have created their own state inside lebanon, in every camp.
they didn't allow the lebanese army to enter the camps
and how many times the LA was under attack from the palestinians , and how many soldiers were killed by the palestinians , after the end of the war.
so how you ask the lebanese authorities to protect their enemy ? or at least how you ask them to enter a restricted area ?
