Exclamation Re: Electing the president by the people and the voting age !

General Aoun knows that if the president this time is electe from the people, it won't come under international tutelage or cover, he will be strong and really representing the Lebanese people, not the USA council, Israeili board or Syrian system.

So after these elections, a strong gvt and a well represented parliament will be formed. Then no need to re-elect the president directly from the people since the constitutional institutions will represent in a sain way the Lebanese people and the president will be then elected from them.

I hope this clarify the issue.

not "li marra wa7ida faqat" w i'm pretty sure you know what this means !!!

anyway i don't think that this thread is for discussing General's speech ... it's about your opinion

Thank You ...
Actually my point wasn't the faqat, it was the marra wa7ida, the faqat was added bil ghalat 3a ketrit l sama3.
There are reasons the "protector of the christians" said li marra wa7ida, it's because he knows that Christians won't always be in the position they are today (de son point de vue - where he is) so this might work in his massla7a now but not in the future so he said marra wa7ida, bass do you really think there is a "marra wa7ida" in Lebanon.
The Marra wa7ida was the most important sentence in his speech, bass it's the wrongest point in his speech coz walla marra zabatit marra wa7ida here.

Wrong!!! coz in Lebanon the parliament changes everything, the government represent the parliament, changing the president WONT change the government w it WONT change the parliament, what you said could be applied to early parliamentary elections bass not to presidential elections unless ur electing a dictator w ma 7ada khaberneh.

Yes I am with electing the president directly from the people but not for one time only.I rather prefer to change the current constitution and have the president elected by the people every single time. It's way more sincere and it definitely represents the people in a better way.

i still see the word "faqat" is very important here coz there is a huge difference in the meaning with and without it ... and i was mistaken when i said "i'm pretty sure you know what it means" ... coz obviously you don't ...
anyway it's your interpretation and it's your point of view

Thank You ...

Well faqat brings back to me:
Tamdid la hrawi li marra wa7ida faqat
Electing Lahoud li marra wa7ida faqat (he was the army comander he couldn't run)
Tamdid for Lahoud li marra wa7ida faqat

Ana fakartak you mean faqat as in every time, bass l hay2a you see faqat as once and no faqat as in every time. Bass anyways it doesn't really matter coz for me once = everytime chez nous

The elected president has the right to consider the gvt resigned and will be only for tesrif 2a3mel. It will lead to forming a new gvt which will imply early elections and will form a new parliament.

In all civiliaed countries the president is elected by the plp, france for example hariri's and sanyoura's close frd from which they take examples but in this part they dont cuz they know that they cant benifit from it......
