Could Geagea be GMA's opponent in the presidential elections ?!

تضارب رئاسي في 14 آذار .. و 'الخشية من جعجع'

اشارت معلومات الى ان التضارب في المواقف بدأ يظهر بين مرشحي الرئاسة الاولى في مجموعة 14 ‏آذار. فبعد الموقف الذي اتخذه النائب بطرس حرب والذي فسرته اطراف في 14آذار انه بداية ‏انعطافة، ذكرت مصادر اخرى في 14 آذار انها متحمسة لوصول الرئيس امين الجميل الى قصر ‏بعبدا على اساس انه التوافقي الوحيد في هذه المجموعة الا ان هذه الاوساط اشارت الى معارضة ‏القوات اللبنانية وصوله اضافة الى النائب نسيب لحود.

اما بالنسبة الى المرشحين الاخرين فسارعوا الى استيضاح موقف الدكتور جعجع حين قال بأن ‏هنالك مرشحاً جاهزاً لـ 14آذار وسمعوا منه ان موقفه هذا للاعلام ليس اكثر. الا ان هؤلاء ‏ابدوا خشيتهم من ان المقصود بوجود مرشح هو ترشح جعجع نفسه في اللحظة الاخيرة وحيث تكون ‏الامور السياسية قد تعقدت مع المعارضة ويصبح ترشحه في هذه الحال من اجل المواجهة، وهو ما ‏سيلزم الموالاة الالتزام به.

He can and he will get the fiercest loss if he ever thinks about running for presidency against GMA. There is a huge difference in policy, strategy and targets between the two and i won't even compare between them from the first place. So for me, i don't think that the 14 feb gang will make this step and make him a candidate unless he runs for himself and doesn't take any opinion into consideration except the LFers.

flamenguita what u're saying is true ... but what if the 14'ers didnt nominate any candidate for the presidency and the time was up ??
then geagea will nominate himslef and of course the 14'ers will vote for him ( because if they didn't do so GMA will win ) and i think the 14'ers are ready to do anything in order to forbid GMA from being the president even if they destroyed the country they don't care,because for them GMA being a president means THE TRUTH . and this Truth will lead them all to jails ... so i think that in this case they will elect Geagea ...

But anyway let's wait,i see that there is a big problem between the 14'ers consisting the presidency issue ,maybe the Presidential elections will be the acheh elle ra7 to2som daher l b3ir . and all the ex problems between Gemayel-Geagea ; Jumblat-Geagea ; Harb-mouawwad ...etc ... will be reborn again w heyda kellou bi fadl l presidential chair.

An ant can split the 14 feb gang if it is in the interest of each one. We all know that they united just to blow GMA up and if the wind changes towards GMA, the first one to turn his back on them is WJ. And the rest will follow.

Are you kidding? jumblat and saad el hariri won't agree on geagea as president.
They might show their great strategic alliance between them on the media but it's not a rumor that their bases still have great hate toward each other even their leaderships.
The difference between the opposition and the loyalists is that the opposition already have 1 candidate while the loyalists have all the maronites in 14feb coalition.
So geagea not nomating himself is not because he doesn't want to but simply because he can't.
