The default lebanese view about schools and universities is that private schools are always better for the education of their children and try to keep them away as much as they can from public schools as if public schools are dedicated for lower level people.
Maybe many will come up and say that private schools are in bad situation like all the other public services and that's correct since unfortunately our government doesn't focus enough on this field. But I, after spending about 8 months in a public school after being at private ones for more than 15 years i feel that going to school became much easier than before where i don't have to be called every week to the accounter to remind me that i have this amount to pay for this trimester or i will be suspended... The education level is way better especially in my field where we have 80 hour accounting a year more than my ex school. Teachers are more friendly, strict rules about studies and better way of education in general to reach a level where more than 95% of the accounting students pass the official exams!!! However, this doesn't mean all public schools are the same but i was just talking about myself. It would be nice to know other opinions from people who went/go to private and public schools/universities or both.

NB: bil 5assa, uni aw madrase bet 7ess 2enno byehtammo fik aktar w nizam l dares 2a7la mish mitel l libneniyye ma 7ada bi 3abrak law bit dallak te7ke la boukra ![]() ![]() wil fa7ess marra we7de bil sene w 3aj2it mawed ma 2ela 3aze w ma fik ta3mil shi 2ella bi marsoum min l wizara w ktirrrrrrrrrrrrr 2eshya gheir bala ma ne7kiya. |

i had to take i really hard decision last september, it was choosing between the lebanese university and the balamand university and i did not have a third choice. it was a choice of paying 10000$/year at UoB and getting:
easy education, uni next to home, a green feild, nice internet connection, LABORATORIES, student work and experience (that will reduce the tuition), i register for courses via network, a gym, a basketball/volleyball playground.... (most of those are PRESTIGE STUFF) or going to UL and getting: waking up at 7, away from home, uneeded materials, lots of math and physics like donkeys, studying much more and learning much more, NO LABS, (poor classic education) i went to uob, i feel confortable there, i'm there right now. as for school, i spent my whole school life at balamand school. from the petit jardin to the terminal, always the same school. but i feel that there is a difference between the official schools and the private one, they are at a lower level of education because of the chaos that the type of student. Xcoder i think your school is a kind of exception, you may have never seen what happens in other official schools.

well me too like Kingroudy , i had to choose between lebanainiyai ,wich is almost free of charge , or balamand wich is a high cost uni , and wich is away from my house cause i live in tripoli and balamand is in el7at koura so its far some how , but in balamand like justin said, they give a lot of attention to students , the classes are easy , if didnt do well in a test ,teacher give u a make up test , and if ur grade at the end of semster is low , but u participate in class and ur a good behavior , teacher at this case has the right to give rase , wich can lead in some cases in passing the course , but in lebnainiyai u have only one chance , either pass or fail .

I'm in a private school from 14 years n i'll continue the 15th in the same private school... I'm real satisfied and hapy in my skool, eventhough we pay more in private skools but as they say " kel chi bi7a2o " ...
Here's a story, my friend is in a public skool, from two years we had official exams, @ skool his grades were never under 16, @ the official exams he got 12 , in the other hand I used to get 13 or 14 @ skool, then @ the official exams I got 15.9... and this happened with many of my friends... That's y for me private skools r better, but it also depend on the teachers sometimes they're better in public skools n vice versa... So we can't judge which one is better everyone has his own positive n negative sides...
