Question Time [Part 3]

This thread is based on this one n that one...

What Does Time Look Like?...
Ladies n Gentlemen... We as humans need time 2 function.. we need order... If u turned on the news tomorrow n a scientist had just disproved time, would it affect u @ all? Would every1 go n throw out all of their watches n clocks? Would u still use "clock time" (Time as we know it), 2 go about schedulin' our events n makin' plans? Would u still use clock time 2 measure the duration from 1 sequence 2 another?.. Or here's another example.. like we made time, we also made "meters", "galons".. tones, heights, weights.... we can remember the past but cannot figure go out the "future"...

Time... What is it, really?

time is something created by human .. u cant touch the time ... u cant discover time because time doesnt exist ...we , human , created the time so we can schedule our days ...Just like the mesures we created them ... u cant touch a Cm but u can touch a paper toula 5cm...
I realized how hard it is to explain the time when i was doing my stage with kids who have probs ... you need some logic to understand what time is .. and those kids have probs when it comes to logic and mental things .. So try 2 think how u can explain that there is 4 weeks in a month ...knowing that u can tell them stories and u cant just tell them there's 4 weeks in a month coz the next morning ka2ano u didnt say anything ... this will make u realize how deep is Time

GOD created the world in six days <--- which represents time

God created the time, the seasons and we humans organized the dates and created ways to keep track of them

Thank You ...

There are two distinct views on the meaning of time. One view is that time is linear and part of the fundamental structure of the universe, a dimension in which events occur in sequence, and time itself is something that can be measured. This is the realist's view, to which Sir Isaac Newton subscribed.[1]
A contrasting view is that time is part of the fundamental intellectual structure (together with space and number) within which we sequence events, quantify the duration of events and the intervals between them, and compare the motions of objects. In this view, time does not refer to any kind of entity that "flows", that objects "move through", or that is a "container" for events. This view is in the tradition of Gottfried Leibniz[2] and Immanuel Kant,[3][4] in which time, rather than being an objective thing to be measured, is part of the mental measuring system. The question, perhaps overly simplified and allowing for no middle ground, is thus: is time a "real thing" that is "all around us", or is it nothing more than a way of speaking about and measuring events?
In physics, time and space are considered fundamental (i.e. they cannot be defined in other terms). Thus the only definition possible is an operational one in which time is defined by the process of measurement and by the units chosen. Periodic events and periodic motion have long served as standards for units of time. Examples are the apparent motion of the sun across the sky, the phases of the moon, the swing of a pendulum, heartbeats, etc. Currently, the unit of time interval (the second) is defined as a certain number of hyperfine transitions in Cesium atoms (see below). All properties of time follow from this definition.
Time has long been a major subject of science, philosophy, and art. Its measurement has occupied scientists and technologists, and was a prime motivation in astronomy. Time is also of significant social importance, having economic value ("time is money") as well as personal value, due to an awareness of the limited time in each day and in human lifespans.

Time is a notion that humans created to define a duration ...Duration exist but time doesnt ... The 6 days ur talkin abt abousoun r a duration ... how "much" TIME it took God to create the world ... So we'r talkin about duration in here .. that we can mesure with time ...

I agree on what you have said based on the definition of duration:
A duration is an amount of time or a particular time interval.

and saying duration exist and time doesn't exist is a philosophical point of view ... if duration is an amount of time and duration exist, does this make time exist or not ? some say yes and some say no !!!

but we can't say that God created the duration and humans created the time while duration is included in time ...

as i said earlier humans didn't create the time, we created only the ways to calculate the time ... the time per se is God's creation ... God is the creator of the place and the time (الله خالق الزمان والمكان)...

Thank You ...

What we experience as "time" may actually have been created during the Big Bang... Time could be a sign of the more basic components of the universe... When we lose contact with time, we have cut the dynamic central 2 our lives... Personally, there's the sense that time is shinin' like a film not properly adjusted on its roll...There's damage that goes nowhere ... u may take this as insane but time is a reason of SADNESS.. let's take 4 e.g: u c ur beloved from weekend 2 weekend... Time slipped by quickly as u unsuccessfully tried 2 enjoy n appreaciate the last moments with him/her... So the sadness during the middle of the week was somehow transformed into a feelin' of time ....

peace
