The Champions League begins on 18 September without Bayern Munich, and that is sad news according to Carlo Ancelotti, trainer of current champions Milan.
“It’s a big loss for the competition, especially now that they have built such a great side” said the 48 year old Milan coach. “With Ribéry, Toni, and Klose, I’m sure Bayern would have gone a long way this season” he explained in an interview with Sportbild. Ancelotti also confirmed that Milan had no interest in Michael Ballack, who has become the subject of much speculation after being omitted from Chelsea’s Champions League squad. “Don’t be upset, but we don’t need Ballack” he explained. “Of course he is a very good player, but in his position we have the best player in the world in Kaka. “If we didn’t have Kaka, then yes he would be interesting for us.” |

Nice stuff said by Ancelotti there.
Actually he's totally right , it's a pity, but they made a very good squad this year so they can easily get the German league title without having to put any effort on another big competition like the CL. I'de be surprised if they didnt get the tile ,personally. |
