Just to clarify some points before I leave.
I'm against that person who's sitting in bkerke.
He's taking wrong decisions and making mistakes. Then fight him in politics and just don't bash him.
You want to get rid of him? You want him to get fired from this position?
There are many ways to do this.
The whole point is for you to understand that the "batrak" 's symbol should not be a "maksar 3asa". Someday, Sfeir will leave this position and another "batrak" will come. He will be weak, since his position is used to getting bashed long time ago.

I'm not a "batrak" supporter. But I find this completely wrong to bash him in public.

Anyways, I'm out of this thread.
Isn't your sensitivity about bashing his excellency a bit misplaced, brother? I understand it's the symbol you're worried about, but the damage already done by this same man to this same symbol renders your concern superfluous. The only one figure, in whose hands lies the most effective instrument to unite his sheep, Religious influence, chooses instead to use it to amplify division among them.. Criminals have been punished for less.

This is the man who gave his blessing to an invading army and street militia gangs to get rid of a lebanese general because he righteously fought both for the sake of trying to liberate and normalize back a wasted land. This is the christian version of Majdou Loubnan who signed Taif, the sell-out contract by which Lebanon and its people were outsourced to Ghazi Kenaan and Roustom Ghazale..

It is this same man who later could not swallow the fact that Aoun was supported by a huge majority of the christians and that his duty, as a shepherd, is to ask his sheep to unite around their new strong leader, in the hope that they would reclaim back some of their digested rights.. No sir, instead, he gladly chose to crawl on all four in the saudi/haririst mud when they made a fool out of him making him believe he could pick and write on paper some presidential names for them to appoint.. and gets the middle finger later on.. But do you think his dead cold crocodile skin notice what goes on around him, behind him and before his very stupid eyes?

This Lucifer should be lucky he lives in internet age.. Others would have trialed and convicted him, to be slowly barbequeud on a bonfire for the many miseries he caused and will cause his people. Oh, by the way, don't worry about Bkerke: Institutions live, flourih or die in accordance to he who rules them.

Man even if he's a religious man, as Wi2am Wahab once said to Jozou: " Ya yelbos metel 7akyeto ya ye7ke metel lebseto."

Oh, you're pulling me back to the thread! lol

@Jess,
Mouzahara?
3arida to vatican telling them we don't want this person as patriark?
When they will see a large group of people against, they will change him.

@The others,
Do you remember "7amlet fell"?
Do you remember the 14 February people bashing the president Emil Lahoud?
What was the GMA's opinion?
Didn't he said that we shouldn't bash the president so that we don't weaken the presidency position?
Isn't this a similar case?!

Mouzahara?
So, you suggest "mouzahara" but not bashing in public. will it be a "secret" mouzahara ?

if this would recomfort you Ed, i will use the 6 x 6 "mkarar", but i will keep criticizing whoever keeps amplifying divisions in lebanon:

When i hear the statements of the top three official clerical leaders of Lebanon: the Maronite Patriarch, Sfayr, the Sunni Mufti, Qabbani, and the Shiite Mutfi, Qabalan, one thing comes to my mind .They do validate (unfortunately) what Robespierre said: "clerics are to virtue what charlatans are to medicine." ( i would rather say "some clerics..." )

if you compare qabalan's speaches to other religious leaders , youll find him way much much much more objective
