Blu-ray Disc is an optical disc storage media format. Its main uses are high-definition video n data storage. The disc has the same dimensions as a standard DVD or CD...
A dual layer Blu-ray Disc can store 50 GB, almost six times the capacity of a double-dual layer DVD (or more than 10 times if single-layer)... So ladies n gentlemen, what do u think of blu-ray discs?? u can now store all ur files that u have on ur own hard drive into 2 Blu-ray Discs (BD)... It also has a disadvantage, not any dvd players or dvd roms are able to read BD Discs but soon u'll be able to do so everywhere!

Thanks for sharing this info about the blue-ray disc.
I think it's very cool. In fact, I spend so much time and effort to make backup of my projects every now and then, and I always need several DVDs to make the backup. I believe BD Rays will save me so much time and effort, because I don't have to collect my DVDs in order and use several ones to Backup/Restore - and I hope that pc guys will implement it soon on new dvd players so we can burn them easily. Do you have an idea how much does this cost? |

@ the prices, high, but not too much >> http://www.google.com/products?check...20ray%20writer
@ lfsoul, just get a blue disk and play it using windows media player. but to burn data, i think that the only thing you need beside an empty blue disk is an updated version of a CD burning software.
