hey guys i was debating with a friend about the two motivating factors in life li henne to pursue pleasure or to avoid pain....

So I thought I'd put the question out there

: are you motivated more by the pursuit of pleasure or by the avoidance of pain

Everyone lives for the sake of happiness (pleasure)
If pain brings u pleasure then it is good to have pain.

I once had an even more complicated debate, which is "happiness vs. survival".
And I reached a conclusion that humans actually seek happiness and not survival. So it's happiness on top of everything.

sometimes pain is pleasure , u just give up and drown in ur sweet swamp of pain , while pleasure hurts u . thats a reality .

for me its avoidance of pain .

Something that hurts you is not pleasure anymore, ur missing the whole point.

pleasure is always positive, so its surely pleasure that counts.
It can come in many forms, but we're not discussing this issue.

not really , sometimes the taste of pleasure after a long pain , hurts u more than pain itself.
