i noticed today that theres alot of people wearing " 3gal " i dont know the real name , but its the thing thats put on the head by saudis .. etc.. puttin it on their shoulders , some are puttin the palastenean one , and some the jordanian one , and its widely spread , is it " derge "??

i have no idea what the name is in english but i do know everyone is wearing it here to meaning americans lol ...im not very fond of it.

so its not just a lebanon thing

You mean the "hatta" or "kafiyah" or "shemagh"
"3gal" is the black one which support the "hatta"
Anyway these things are widely spread all over the world and you can buy them online from amazon to ebay, etc...

In Lebanon, i think they are widely spread ... usually it's seasonal depending on the political atmosphere ... or the environmental atmosphere ... and some just wears them for "me7en"
