this is what they have on their support website posted today:
HTTP service interruption Solar Interference (Sun-Spots)- Explained During the Spring and Fall of each calendar year, the sun, satellite and satellite receiving antenna align with one another; thereby forming an Eclipse. During this brief period of alignment, the sun's solar radiation overpowers the satellite signals, briefly interrupting reception of service. All satellite related transmissions experience this phenomenon twice annually. Service interruption of some customers will occur for approximately 10 minutes during the late afternoon hours over a 3 to 12 day period, depending on the satellite affected at that time. Intensity is minor during the beginning of the period, increases in intensity in the middle of the period, and then decreases as the end of the period approaches. During the brief 10 minute period, affect on reception will range from slow connection to complete browsing stoppage.

I am a VISP user,
I have the 256kbps account and i get double speed at night. Their latency is really good and that's the main reason that made me switch to them. They're not perfect but remain better than others.

i m thinking a lot abt switching from fastnet to visp.
I have a direct link from fastnet main company and yet it suffers a lot. How stable is Visp compared to fastnet?

However note that u get an average of 250ms with VISP (170 at night) while we never went below 400ms with fastnet. The connection over all is not perfect but it's way more stable than fastnet but their caching system is somehow their down side especially for web designers.
