Please Help guys i have some folders hidden but now they are gone ... what should i do ?other than formatting lol

u have a virus on ur pc(most commonly byeje min l flash memory), to check that go the control panel check if folder options is there, then reply back.

lakan what do u mean they are gone? deleted or still on the hard drive?
tayeb try my computer>tools>folder options. is it there too? |

yes folder options is still there. when i enter it And put show hidden files and click ok . no files are shown and when i return to folder options it's on "do not show hidden files " again

fi some old thread was about this thing, you go to regedit, then you do something, bas i forgot the steps

ok thanks guys i found the solution and if anyone is having this problem you should do this :
(Go to Start --> Run, then type Regedit 2. Navigate to the registry folder HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\ CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced\Folder\Hidden\SHO WALL 3. Find a key called CheckedValue. 4. Double Click CheckedValue key and modify it to 1. This is to show all the hidden files.) and also repair your registery
