The World's End Is Near.

Ok let's suppose the world will end in December 2012, and we all still have have almost 2 years to live.

What would you want to experience before the end of the world? What is the list of the stuff you want to do that you havn't done yet?

Some people would want to visit a place, maybe lose virginity, do something crazy.

Go to Old Trafford in Manchester and watch Manchester United play, watch the UEFA Finals, go to SA and watch the FIFA World Cup then go to Turkey to watch the FIBA Championship, then i'd go to the U.S. and watch the NBA Playoffs and NFL Superbowl and MLB Finals and i'll probs stay there and buy a small plane to try and escape the world collapsing

I would simply continue normaly, because it is the logical thing to do. there is nothing that you are supposed to do before you die...

we are all going to die at some point in time, it is inevitable, and we are aware of this inevitability, the difference between a cancer patient and a regular human is that the cancer patient has a better estimation of when he is going to die, while the average person, despite that he may die 1 day later of a car accident, is not aware of this proximity

so don't wait for the end of the world, or till you are told that you have a disease to do whatever you want to do, you have time now, whatever it is do it.

I am not afraid of death, to me when you die, you simply stop existing, you do not feel, remember know anything... like what we were before beign born, so it is illogical to fear death, what I fear however is living a long life, and be 80 years old, and look back to my young days and realise, I did not take advantage of them, I did not have the fun I was supposed to have and live in regret of all the times I was too chicken to ask that girl out or never had tiem to travel

I still say it wouldn't differ, I don't think that I will die happier if I quit uni and had one last perfect day before I die... and about the gun thingy, I will ask to remain alive, not sure I will beg for it my dignity is worth more than life to me

the thing is about saving money, it becomes a habbit, you're 25 years old, you go to work, you save money thinking you're gonna get married, and maybe you do get married, but you're not used to spending and you are used to saving money, and thus you continue to do so by habbit and die with hundreds of thousands of dollars in your bank, and a boring life, I fear ending up like this

I know but it is easier said than done I read that fear of rejection is embedded in our brains, because centuries ago, when men lived in small villages where there were less than 10 girls they can hook up with, being rejected by one meant that you will die alone (girls gossip to each other about bad stuff )

it's not etdepros, it is a logical way of looking at things, in fact, it is a good way to look at things, I am inviting you not to worry about death or about the future much, I am telling you that life is a game that you must enjoy, and I am saying that good feelings matter more than getting a PHD(unless getting a PHD really will give you a good feeling) we live in a society where people care more about impressing others than they care about being happy themselves, you see them starve themselves to death to save money to buy an expensive car, and they don't even care about cars, they just want to impress the relatives and make friends envy them and everyone dies unsatisfied still trying to prove themselves as being better
