Group A: Brazil, France, Lebanon and Lithuania
Lebanon will be in Group A together with the European Champion France, the second in Europe Lithuania and Brazil. Lebanon's first game will be on July 12th with Brazil; this game will be a very decisive one knowing that the Lebanese U19 Head Coach is the Brazilian Adriano Geraldes who knows the Brazilian program very well and coached the Brazilian U18 National Teams in different championships. The second game will be against Lithuania the finalist of last year European U18 Championship who's head coach is who coached in Lebanon Ghazir Club in 2001. Lebanon's last game in the first round will be against France the Champion of Europe on July 14th, 2007. The first 3 teams in each group will qualify to the second round the remaining teams will play classification games. The groups are as follows: Group A: Brazil, France, Lebanon and Lithuania Group B: P.R. of China, Mali, Serbia and USA Group C: Australia, Canada, Nigeria and Turkey Group D: Argentina, Korea, Puerto Rico and Spain I do not want to look pessimistic, but it looks real hard to win any of the games… We did it once against France last summer; hopefully we will secure an unexpected win against one of the teams in our group. Cross fingers! |
