okey, we have a hardware thread, and a software one, but what to choose ? this thread will be about the reviews and al the info regarding testing, benchmarking, and every comparison ther is about 2 hardwares or software.....
the first is to be about intel and AMD ( for kingrod.) to see how AMD smaches intel's core 2 (its called core 2 coz the core 1 is a loser:P and like father like son this one is also a loser :P) http://www.theinquirer.net/default.aspx?article=39074 LEGIT REVIEWS TESTED AMD's answer to Intel's Conroe offensive. With the latest price cuts of AMD CPUs, it was interesting to see whether an X2 5600+, a sub-$200 CPU fare with Intel's own E6300, which fits nicely into the same category. When testing in real world games, a surprise happened in S.T.A.L.K.E.R., where Intel took a beating. AMD took the lead in Doom 3 as well, while Quake 4 returned point for Intel. However, AMD demolished Intel in Serious Sam 2. Head over there and read a highly surprising review. But to see almost 50% faster frame rate in Serious Sam... even worse than Athlon 64 vs. Intel Pentium 4 in Unreal Tournament 2k4.

i do have 2 reasons to kill you now
![]() these results are true. i'm not gonna say fake, but remember that the 5600+ X2 was priced at 326$ (sure informations, behardware.com) and its price was cut like hell. (179$, but sold out for 185$ in the US market). so without the price cut, u had to compare the core 2 with the 4400+ X2. but intel will also cut its prices too. and intel offers upgradability more than AMD, and... the PENRYN is on its way. (in 2008 )this is how a PENRYN clocked at 3.33ghz with 1333mhz of BUS compares to a QX6800 quad core. - 3DMark06 CPU: +21.8% - Mainconcept H.264 Encoder: +21.9% - Cinebench R9.5: +24.9% - Cinebench R10 Beta: +25.5% - Half Life 2 Lost Coast: +37.3% - DiVX 6.6 Alpha / Vdub 1.7.1: +111% i'm still waiting for benchmarks of the "barcelona" AMD cpu, anyone finds something about it, post.

well the quad core of intel is not realy a quad core, it is just like intels pentium D wich is a 2 prescott cpu joined together, a combination of 2 core2 cpus, so u have in each quad core 2 controle unit in each cpu that coordinates work and data between the 2 cpus.. but AMD (z'great) have made it from first a one control unit dual core and one controle unit quad core... this peny-less-ryn ur talking about is gona be a failure just like intel odes all the time
AMD ROCKS
