Ladies n Gentlemen... Everybody starts with a taste n musical style which be changed later on (months or years later to somethin' totally different...) y do u think so? does it depends on ur mood? r u sick n tired of hearing the same old same n chose to change to somethin different? wanted 2 change ur whole style? Thought that perhaps that it might b time 4 a lil' experiment?... Obliged 2 do somethin?... What Music style have u been into back dayz... & which style u into right now?

when i was 12 years old i used to listen to Rap :P
then i started to listen to some bands which has a mix of rap and metal :P

then i discovered Metal at 13
and im still sticking to that genre till now till im 21

Well five years ago , I started to listen to music and collect songs and albums etc. But it was either arabic ( ) or hip-hop. I used to enjoy rap very much. But Back then I was not in need for another kind of music, or better to say, This was the only kind of music I was introduced to. And I didn't care what The music really meant. I just liked the beat and you know some songs get popular that You have to like them so music was just like anything else and it was not of my interest , and it didn't help me get through anything, It was just fun for my age. But as I grew ( grow ) up , I realized that it is another world, and I also realized that I actually do not like hip-hop this much and that it's not the music I prefer, especially after I got to listen to some rock songs like Evanescence, Linkin Park, Staind, Creed, Within temptation, Nightwish, Muse, The Killers, , 3 doors down, Coldplay from the radio. Ever since , I enjoyed listening to rock and I started to regularly listen to it and even dowload songs from the internet. So Later, I got introduced to other Main rock and metal bands which I got obsessed with.
And yes, it helped me alot, because rock/metal is your companion ( probably the only one) when you are in deep sh*t and when you see everything black and brken. The Lyrics first of all are certainly different from Hip-hop and arabic music. They are deep , they talk about life not only about love and they dont talk about thug and stuff. They teach lessons if understood. While in arabic, the words such as " 7abeebi, shta2tellak, 3youni, monaya ..etc " are the same IN ALL SONGS, except that they're put in different order. And it speaks Nothing !!!

The Music In rock/metal music Is everything to me, ..all of the instrumenting just releases all of the stress and depression and puts me in a better mood.

So In short, I changed to Metal and Rock music, because 1) I discovered it later than the other genres. 2) You can't expect a person under 11-12 to understand the metal music and like it.

Anyway, I still listen to some R&B songs and rap songs but rarely .
I even try to get updated with the latest relaeases because I do not like to miss a song that I might like.
ARABIC Music, Umm ... I can't stand it anymore. Anyway, even arabic music lovers cannot stand it anymore .

First of all,thanks Justin,it's a very nice thread...
Since I was a child,I used to listen to classical music and play what I listen to,but 7 years ago everything changed...Soret esma3 metal and rock music and sing the songs I am listenning to...But when I feel happy and loved I forget about rock songs and listen to slow love songs it makes me remember adorable things ...

Back Dayz, I used 2 lsn to some pop songs... sometimes N'Sync or Backstreet boys mostly... but I reached a point where I got bored & started to lsn to some soft & classical music... years later, I hated them as a reason of being soooo soft so I went into the Rap/hiphop/Rnb Music & still now loving it & adoring it... all what u gotta do is to choose the right songs in the right moment (mood)... but lately... Im kinda having a crazy mood l0o0l.. its been like a year til now n continueing... In the morning some arabic original music like Fayrouz, by noon I go with the Soft/Slow/Classical Music... In the afternoon, Techno/Trance/Electronic bass/Rave Music... At night Rock/Metal Vs Rap/Hiphop loool

Let's bring 4 types of music (grunge rock, classical, New Age n designer). With grunge rock music we find: hostility, sadness, tension n fatigue n caring, relaxation n mental clarity...
But after listenin' 2 the designer music (music designed 2 have specific effects on the listener) we find: hostility, fatigue, sadness n tension...
The New Age n classical music have a feelin' shifts among subjects with all types of music... I think the Designer music is the most effective in increasin' positive feelings n decreasin' negative feelings... So I suggest everyone to lsn 2 some of 'em It helps the negatives moods to be improved 2 positive moods

4 years ago i used to listen to rap all the time and stuff like that, then i started to listen to some arabic songs, after that i got really into technos and trance, and after it i listened to some rock and metal, and now i listen to every kind of music u know, lol, from pop, to slow to R&B, rock, hip-hop, u name it.. i hear it. lol....
as long as there's rhyme to my ears....
and i listen too so many songs that i don't even knows who play them or what the name of the song

well when i was a kid i used to hate all kind of music & when any body turn an Arabic i get annoyed and i block my ears or tell people to stop the music.

now i hear music in all it types from a to z but i what i like the best now is Lebanese songs & techno.
