Why wasn't Israel supposed to allow Syria to attack you? Uno you didn't have any relation with Israel so why would they defend you or stop an attack from happening?

Those 2 quotes are just examples bass it's not the first time I see this statement.

What insured Israel that Syria won't make a false mvt against them in the south when attacking Baabda, or USA gave Israel garantees. Eno they're supposed not to trust each other no? and in the 80's and 90's Israel was the only one who controlled the air space of Lebanon. But what the enemy of my enemy is my friend right?

All i am highliting here lebanese_a is that Syria and Israel are ennemies when it suits them, and allies when it also suits them, we are not discussing "us" here. we're discussing how deceptive the appearances can be, with an american blessing of course.

First of all it's not about Israel who gave Syria the green light to attack Baabda palace in 1990.

what happened in 13 October 1990 was that the U.S.A gave Syria the green light to attack Baabda palace because if you know the Syrian air fighters were not allowed to fly over the free area of Lebanon, and according to Pierre Raffoul in his book "Aoun,The Awakening of Lebanon" on 12 October 1990 General Nadim Lteif told General Aoun that the Syrian Army is surrounding all the fronts, so General Aoun replied : if the Syrians didn't use the Air fighters we will not be defeated because we are in a defensive position and we know our land very well but if they did use the Air fighters it means that the U.S.A sold us to Syria ... and that's what happened .

concerning the Israeli role i'll just post what Annahar newspaper published about 13 October 1990 :
13-10-1990 :

that's what flamenguita and xcoder meant, it's not about Israel didn't protect us from Syria. it's about the Israeli-Syrian partnership and Israel was from the begining against General Aoun and opposed him as a prime minister.

Regards.

Well, You Might Sound Like You Have A Point , But I Don't Think That This Is What They Mean When They Say That Israel Gave The Green Light. The Idea Is That Israel And The US And Syria Were Allied All Against General Aoun There's Nothing That Talks About Backstabbing In This Phrase I Guess

Lebanese_a, the point here is kinda like a question more than an answer such as why Israel & Syria didn't fight especially that day knowing that they had many fights between each other on the Lebanese soil why nothing happened between syria and israel that day exactly.
The point here is to show that israel and syria had a deal led by the united states for the region. israel occupies the south syria the second part of the country and that's what happened.
It's not like "why israel didn't fight them" from the side that Israel is siding Aoun, but from a side that Syria and Israel are enemies.

USA says to Israel: "You keep the Golan Heights"

Israel nods.

Syria: "And me?"

USA: "Oh you! Right, you get to keep Lebanon and keep this Hezbollah story running just for kicks."

Syria is unsatisfied and points to the fact that south Lebanon is occupied by Israeli soldiers but is glad that it wont deceive it's Iranian ally by asking Hezbollah to lay down it's weapons.

The next day Israeli soldiers are out of most of South Lebanon except for Chebaa Farms which pleases the Syrians: it gives Hezbollah (or it's armed branch) the right to exist.

BUT in 2005 some idiot kills Rafic el Hariri and for the first time the people of Lebanon (I think they still call them Lebanese) grab the microphone and let their voice be heard... We often refer to this part of our history as a revolution or something like that...

USA says with a southerner's accent all loud: "Syria, lay your hands off Lebanon"
And then USA whispers: "We'll see about the Golan Rockies Bashaw, we'll see 'bout that".

too depressed to continue this story...

Well if they are not foes it doesn't mean they are friends or allies...

In my opinion it all turns around one very simple subject: Palestinians in Lebanon.

We all know that when Israel spits it comes out of Bush's mouth.

Israelis and Americans are for the naturalization of the Palestinian refugees for obvious reasons and are supporting (Americans) a political movement that is rather favorable to this operation, for obvious reasons too.

As for the Syrians they were/are/will never opposed to this because it gives the power to Sunnis to oppose its will.

I think this is where USA and Syria parted ways...

But they always agreed that there was some 14000 km˛ to rent to play paint-ball in the Middle East...
