يقول العلماء: "اذا احسست برغبة في البكاء فلا تحبس دموعك، فان كثيرا من الآلام والاحزان والغضب تسيل مع هذه الدموع" كما ان العلم يقول ان دموع المرأة اسرع من دموع الرجل. فهي تتعلم البكاء قبل الرجل فتربية البنات تحتاج الى قدر كبير من الحزم قد لا يحتاج اليه الصبي، لهذا فهي تبكي لانها تعاقب اكثر مما يعاقب شقيقها.

وبعض علماء النفس يعتبرون بكاء الكبار عودة الى الطفولة.. انهم يبكون لانهم بحاجة الى عطف من حولهم ويبكون لانهم لا يجدون وسيلة للتنفيس عن الضغط النفسي الا الدموع، ويبكون حزنا وقهرا وفرحا ايضا.

وفى المجتمعات الشرقية ربما يعتبر بكاء الرجل شيئا مشينا او دليلا على الضعف، الا ان الحقيقة ان للرجل الحق فى ان يبكي، فكبت الدموع ربما يعرض الإنسان رجلا كان او إمرأة للخطر..

وبكاء المرأة الذى يراه البعض أكثر من اللازم لا يرجع فقط الى طبيعة المرأة الفسيولوجية او النفسية وانما يعود ايضا الى اسباب علمية، فالمرأة أكثر بكاء من الرجل بسبب هرمون يدعى "البرولاكتين" وهذا الهرمون يفرزه الجسم كرد فعل للتوتر والأحزان ولمشاعر الاكتئاب التي تنتاب المرأة وهو يرتبط بالبكاء، وعندما ترتفع نسبته في الجسم كثيرا ما يسبب البكاء لأتفه الأسباب.

والبكاء بالنسبة للرجل والمرأة أسلم طريقة لتحسين الحالة الصحية وليس دليلا على الضعف أو عدم النضج، وهو أسلوب طبيعي لإزالة المواد الضارة من الجسم التي يفرزها عندما يكون الإنسان تعسا أو قلقا او في حالة نفسية سيئة، والدموع تساعد على التخلص منها. ويقوم المخ بفرز مواد كيميائية للدموع مسكنة للألم. والبكاء أيضا يزيد من عدد ضربات القلب، ويعتبر تمرينا مفيدا للحجاب الحاجز وعضلات الصدر والكتفين، وبعد الانتهاء من البكاء تعود سرعة ضربات القلب إلى معدلها الطبيعي وتسترخي العضلات مرة آخرى وتحدث حالة شعور بالراحة، فتكون نظرة الشخص إلى المشاكل التي تؤرقه وتقلقه أكثر وضوحا، بعكس كبت البكاء والدموع الذي يؤدي إلى الإحساس بالضغط والتوتر المؤدي إلى الإصابة ببعض الأمراض مثل الصداع والقرحة.

as for me its been like a decade since the last time i cryed,no seriously,im not the type tht if somthn baad good happens start crying,i dont cry dunno why,bon2ohir bass ma bibke,dunno y....
but the one sitution tht surly makes me cry is seing som1 of my family(father mother brother)dead la sama7 2alla....
and seing a guy crying is never a point of weakness,i've seen my dad crying 2 times when my uncle died and when today the captain walid cha3ar was dead ...
p.s:My dad is an mou2ddam reken bi jeish(3awne ma t5afo)...tht's why i mentioned my dad...cz bil jeish byet3awwado ykouno 2alboun 2ese ...bass he is a human being after all

Well i mainly cry for my hardships...when i'm in really tough situations...bas ahamma shi wa2et ma esma3 majles 3aza2 aw do3a2 l nudbah...hon bofrot...and it does not make u any less of a man...if anything it makes u stronger than what u are...our weapon is our sorrow and especially the sorrow we suffer through lasting injustice....that kind of sorrow started revolutions!!!
Enno...if sorrow makes u less of a man being happy all the time WILL? all ur gonna be is a panzie if ur freakin smiling all the time w "la vie en rose"

1) i cry welll like every day!! or every other day!!..everythng makes me cry... if some 1 says smthng bad w ma ken ele khele2 redd 3le i cry bas mesh eddemo...if my teacher bye7keene smthng bad aw takes off my exam sheet bebke bas berja3 bas khalles beka bet2atal ma3on!...wen i c my mother or sm1 in my family cryin , i cry ..watchin so0o many movies makes me cry...wen am tired ,stressed, pressured i cry!wen sm1 dies aw sein sick ppl... kell shi makes me cry except happiness ... i dunn c it weakness its likely extra sensetivety w i neither c it a result of chemical stuff!! its all abt feelings nd mind!!... nd wen i cry i relax a loooooooot..nd become so able 2 face wut made me cry...w i dunn have any problem cryin in public...all the ppl i know in my life have seen me cryin or heard me cryin!
2) i dunn like 2 c a guy/man cryin nt becoz ma byeswa...enno he shudnt cry in public aw eddeme...once my ex damma3 wen saw me cryin 4 smthng so bad ...i regretted the moment i cried eddemo coz i hate 2 c a guy cryin.... nd ths is another incident...durin the war bcz of everythng nd my sister was in beirut alone nd my whole family bel jabal.. w hek stress my dad damma3 w ddnt c me enne shefto..till shefne 3m ebke w 3eref enno am cryin bcz of him...w that can never b erased 4rm my memory...its the worst thng ever....

I never cry for (death, sad incidents, emotional scenes ..etc) even though They can affect me. I only cry when Im in the shower. I think about my life, about life in general, and about some other stuff that i dont expect anyone other than me to understand. And the crying is not like a flow of water , it's just tears every now and then while in the shower .( anyway it deosnt happen everyday .. its just occassional )
