vista needs 512 mb of ram minimum and 1gb recommended.
minimum cpu is a P4 sequence 500 (2.8 to 3.8ghz with 1mb of l2 cache) of course core duo and core 2 duo are better. amd cpus athlon 64 and 64 x2 and FX and better are good too. but the key is in the memory.

TOWDI7:
Upgrading from XP to Vista in NOT free, (how do you think Bill is making all that money!!!) it's just cheaper if you have a licenced copy of Win XP (and I don't think the tools to make your XP look genuine will work) ya3neh if I remember mni7 the aghla Vista is sold for 400$ (well 399$ ) so if you have XP allready it will be 300$ (299$ ), w as much as I want to beleive KingRoudy's theory I don't think getting a pirated copy will be easy coz "Normal" people are finding difficulties to make there win XP genuine and the genuine thing is kind of new here, bass Vista was kind of based to be anti piratage so imagine IF they do crack it how much a normal person will take to make it work, ba3deina I really dout Microsoft will give up easaly this time, it will be a war: crack > fix > crack >fix ... untill the next Windows version (witch some doubt will ever appear but that's another subject). so start saving up lets say 400$ for the Vista and XXX$ to make your PC work with vista.Hala2 bi khssouss l laptop: Laptops currently sold DO NOT VISTA INSTALLED, they have win XP installed but you will see on it under the "designed for win XP" logo: "Windows Vista ready", that means that your laptop will be able to run Vista but beware that not all laptops having this logo will run ALL the feature in vista you need good RAM and VGA to run all the features in Vista. Ba3dena you have to ask the maker of the laptop if they will give you a copy of Vista 4 free when it's released, some offer that and some don't so ASK this very important question to not add 400$ to your purchase after one month. FINALLY DO NOT BUY ANY PC THAT SAYS IT IS RUNNING VISTA NOW, vista wont be released untill the date KingRoudy gave buying a PC with Vista now means that you get a Vista RC (pre-release betas), that's not Vista that's a vista test version!!! W i guess that's it (I should add this to my blog hehe ![]() ) |

Hey guys this is an article about vista
Windows Vista Release Pushed Back to January 2007 PCs with preinstalled consumer versions of the OS won't be available until after the holiday buying season. Broad availability of the Windows Vista client operating system has been pushed back to next year, according to Jim Allchin, Microsoft's co-president of the Platform and Services Division. Microsoft does, however, plan to release Vista to business partners through its volume licensing program in November 2006, Allchin said in a conference call today. This will enable those partners to begin deploying the OS throughout their businesses. Microsoft also intends to release all six of Vista's core editions to manufacturing at the same time in November, Allchin said. But PCs with the consumer versions preinstalled won't go on sale until January. The consumer editions of Vista, which Allchin said have not changed, are Windows Vista Starter, Windows Vista Home Basic, Windows Vista Home Premium, and Windows Vista Ultimate. The business editions--Windows Vista Business and Windows Vista Enterprise--will be available through volume licensing in November. Microsoft said that Vista's delay won't affect the release of Internet Explorer 7 for Windows XP in the second half of the year. IE 7 will ship as a feature of Vista, and Microsoft had previously said that the version of IE 7 for XP would be released at the same time as the new OS. Quality Concerns Cited Allchin would not give specific reasons for Vista's delay, but he said that it involves a quality issue and that partners had requested the delay. He said that the partners wanted Microsoft to provide them with a clear date for release because Microsoft seemed unlikely to have the OS ready in time for them to ship it on hardware by late November. That is when the busy U.S. Christmas holiday buying season begins; Microsoft had originally targeted that time for the release of Vista PCs. "We're just trying to be responsive to their concerns and also be forthright about where we are in terms of being a few weeks late for quality," Allchin said. But at least one analyst suggested that Microsoft should be worried, since the delay will have a major affect on Microsoft's entire partner ecosystem. "They will miss out on the lucrative holiday season, and this move will definitely slow down growth in the PC industry," said Sam Bhavnani, a principal analyst with Current Analysis, via e-mail. "The impact is far reaching and will have a significant impact on computer manufacturers, resellers and ingredient players." In an interview in January, Allchin had said that he would delay releasing Vista if the OS did not reach a standard of quality that he was comfortable with. In today's conference call, he said that Microsoft wanted to give customers a firm date for when the company could deliver Vista broadly, and so the company decided to push the release back to January of next year. Microsoft said that it is not concerned about rival Apple Computer capitalizing on Vista's delay. The company thinks that customers will still buy Vista simply because of the rich features it will provide. |
