i have a vista laptop and it's gr8, turn the user account control and you will get rid of the security issues, as for drivers for your laptop using xp download driver genius ad install it he will automaticly update your drivers, vista is better for a gaming pc" VISTA WHERE D3D 10 IS FULLY SUPPORTED" DUH

by the way if we think a little bit more or if we anticipate a little bit, all the new games will be built to work best on windows vista and many games are starting to come with this feature, thinking logicly vista is not made to stay back and watch xp it is made to replace it! it is a marketing thing microsoft will tell games publishers and developpers to aquire vista compatibility mainly! take the crisis example this is the first thing, and now start considering of buying or aim to buy a PhysX card, VISTA and a good PPU GPU CPU will be everyones concern..

Vista is better than XP, and for better functining try the Vista ultimate, its awsome

hehehe you should consider that you need to install the compatibility hotfixes by microsoft and the vista drivers for your hardwares i have the vista ultimate and it laughs at win xp GUYS HERE IS A TIP: When you face a compatibility prob in vista right click the app. go to compatibility and set it to xp sp2 it will work
