Default Re: The Forgotten

Hello Adam, thanks for raising this matter.
As far as i know the biggest part of Lebanese Jews left during the Lebanese war to many countries mainly Brazil.
It's out of question losing a whole community just like that and no one is doing anything about it or even mentioning it.
I think moves should be taken to spot the light about this matter and let many people realize that being Jew doesn't mean Zionist, and Lebanese Jews are totally equal to any other Lebanese no matter what his believes where.
However, no one can ignore the Lebanese stupid religious system and the radical brains we have in this country where people are categorized according to their religious orientations.
I think steps should be taken to raise up this matter to the Media to let everyone "remember" that Lebanese Jews still exist maybe not in Lebanon anymore but many would love to come back here and be part of this small nation.

tht's not the case, many lebanese ( some friends of mine for instance) say that they would kill any jew they see infront of them, lebanese, israeili or whatever, so you see, that's how they are raised, as uneducated people, so they grow up to act in a certain way, and they don't use their head to analyze that they are just of a different religion but same history, values, goals and traditions probably.

so it's not the physical harm that should be addressed, but rather about them feeling insecure in their own country among their country's citizens, which simply Sucks.

Precisely, all you need to do is explain the differance between "jew" and "zionist" and they will understand. In my case, I didn't understand the differance until I was 14 years old.
