icemaker did u check the services.msc , maybe one is stopped .

Man i google it and the solution was to have a Router, and honestly i cant afford one at the moment so i tried to use my second network card

Make sure you use the same workgroup and turn on the public file sharing on vista and put passwords on both xp and vista and it should work fine
make sure you are using a crossover cable

make sure of all your ips the best way is to open CMD.exe from the run on vista per example and type ipconfig
notice that the IPv4: should be the ip for each pc on the network, the gateway should be the ip of the computer that is directly connected to the internet.

if these info doesnt help you consult and expert or buy a router ( you can find some cheap ones 2day)

Problem solved guyz,

well here is the solution:
i installed a little proxy server on the net and i set the proxy as the IP of my desktop and i changed my intertnet options on my laptop : tools-> internet options ->connections -> LAN settings -> check use a proxy server and enter the desktop IP with the port 808. ->check the bypass

done

Mabrouk for all who are having the same problem beside me
