allow me:

the last part is very easy:
1st u're asked to check that no atom overpasses E5 when hit by 4eV and starting at ground state. just add -5.39 + 4 = -1.39eV which is between -1.04eV and -1.51eV so between E5 and E6. hence it will not overpass E5...
and the bonus builds on this same idea: when u hit it with 4eV, due to the 'quantization' thing, it will only use 3.88eV (=5.39-1.51) to jump from E1 to E5. the remaining 4-3.88=0.12eV will go into kinetic energy (energie cinetique)
