To say that the most sacred objective for a religious man is to be neutral and be like a Shepherd but on the contrary, he is taking a side against other fellow Christians.

In the bible it is mentioned that Jesus told the crowd that they either worship god or money and not both .. He had worshiped money that comes to him from certain parties and groups.

You said it: he's the head of the maronite church.
he's not a deputy nor a minister nor a politician, so his political stances express only his personal opinion, he only represents maronites concerning religion and not politics.
every maronite or whatever is represented by a certain political party.

In addition to that no one has the right in using a certain public post in order to spread his own opinions, Sfeir has not any right in giving any public political stance because it's none of his business, he's using his religious post in order to spread his political stances, same thing applies on other religious figures who are not on the head of a political party or practicing politics.
