[/B]nah many people have system restore disabled including me it's a waste of time besides i think you need to specify a point earlier to be able to restore.
however i think the solution is to get avg update scan then unistall msn messenger and install it in another location.
that's what ibn_awa did and it worked just fine

never ever click on that link, and if you did DON'T download anything from it, a few people got infected so far and it spreads on msn by sending to all online contacts this message...
scanning your pc in safe mode and quarantine didn't work, uninstalling msn and explorer and reinstalling them after the scan didn't work either...

is there anything to do to fix this problem without formatting?
a friend of mine needs help, and everything ^^^ I told him to do didn't help...

does anybody know?
