Ok to lie?

Do you think that lying is alright when done to help someone?

i.e: telling someone how much of an impact they have had on your life when truely they have not impacted your life in any significant way.

mmm halla2 it depends how much this person means to u, if he means so much to u, akid la2, if he doing something wrong its ur job to tell him the truth how much how painfull it is, halla2 if he/she is just a friend bet sir el ossa depends on the occation, a little white lie never hurt but still we should be honest no matter what and also if he couldnt take w ze3el that proves he doesnt give a damn about u, he doesnt want a friend but he wants someone to lie to him tellin him he is gr8 and all even though he has nothin special

Both Lie and Truth hurts,

but the sure thing the truth will uncover alot of lies and shadows

It always sux to find out someone lied to you to make you feel better; it makes you feel pathetic

Concerning the exemple that i gave, if the persons are not aware it's a lie, it will hurt even more when they later realise that they don't possess what they thought they have So such false praises are basically useless or even harmful

Bs eno sometimes,lying in order to prepare a surprise party or gift is not so bad i guess? In this case, the lie is temporary and the consequences of a failed plan aren't drastic. The important thing is that the truth comes out in the end.

If the lie is intended to be permanent, you run the risk that the person lied to finds out and that your relation degrades heavily

I believe the smartest people find words to keep good relations without lying

Lying to someone to protect them from pain will only lead to more pain on the long run ...So just speak your mind in a smart way so you can deliver your message and maintain a good relationship with the person
Anyway....if the person really appreciates you,they should understand that you're telling the truth for their best interest

as i already mentioned both the truth and lies hurts,

but ill always choose to say the truth and not just saying the truth but the whole covered truth even if it hearts somtimes alot of ppl and made me in front of my friends and my family but i think time will be showing the right thing i did

DO not lie or deceive in your friendships, relationships, with customers, to your children, with bosses, at school, at home or at work. It diminishes you as a person
Also, I believe it will eventually come back to haunt you.

if you lie (even when you've been taught that you're supposed to, even to make things fun), maybe whoever you lie to will never trust you again!

Lying is sometimes necessary and in these times saying the truth can be immoral or stupid. It is too hard to put a criteria to when that is the case but everyone is smart enough to recognize when saying the truth will be dangerous and harmful at any level. There are no fixed rules in this.
