Arabs or not ??

Well i have been reading this discussion since two days ago, and still i cant understand why are you making it so dramatic, I got bored a little bit from this "Lost Identity" issue, it is becoming like the "chicken or Egg" story.

Well Guyz here is the Truth it is not important how do you look at yourself or where do you classify your self, the important thing how the others looks at you, depending on your behavior, acts, and background.

Here is some facts for all of you,

Yes we are Arabs and yes we are not Arabs.

Yes we are Arabs, because we behave like them, we are chaotic, we do not read, we do not have research center, we spend our money on silly issue, we do not have women rights, corruption is everywhere, bla bla bla, etc.....

Yes we are not arabs, we just have one thing that doesn't makes us Arab and it is our EGO, we think we are more important than the whole arab countries, but the truth we are like them,
we just have some EGO.

Every time i read this topic it drives me sick, and makes me think how much the majority of the Lebanese people are dumb. no wonder why Lebanon is still a poor country where everyone use it as a battlefield !!!

I didn't see in my whole life some people fighting just to be proud of being from Spanish, Saudi, Russian or i don't know what f*ckin origin !!!

You dumb people, YOU ARE LEBANESE !!!!!

personally, (so do kain, sogelec...), i wasn't debating on my identity. it's about our culture. (culture can shape the identity, but it doesn't define it). it's not neither about religions. don't forget dear friends, that christian intellectuals are the ones among others who resurrected the arab culture...

a people who denies his culture can't build the future. we communicate with the others with our culture, not only through hightech.

the fact that i belong to the arab culture, does not mean that i'm not different than the other arabs.

for the engineers in this forum, remember in the future to tell me where and with whom are u working and why ?

i can't return and discuss the issue. i am doin a research on hyperventilation syndrom (i'm serious). i think that i just discovered that we can trigger this syndrom, by reading some of the posts here.(still serious)

Even when it comes to culture, the Lebanese culture is different than the Arab one, we have a mixed culture between an eastern and a western one, which makes the special Lebanese culture...
I don't believe that we are only Arabs concerning our culture.. that's why i said we are Lebanese, in every thing, even in our culture.

And here I have a question! what difference will it make if you are arabs or not? Are they going to change anything from the ta2if? Is war going to stop? Are you going to change your way of living or something? Or are you going to suicide for example?



Finally, after all of these discussions and debates, do you think we'll get anywhere? and in case we arrived to an agreement (which won't happen) do you think this agreement will solve this problem in the lebanese society? Do you think that anyone will care about these debates????????
Well we are Lebanese, we're the only people that holds contradictions in our character, personality and nature... We are the most stupid and the smartest people on earth (yeah beleive it!!stupid and smart in the same time! I said once in an another thread that Lebanese are special!)
Instead of sitting in here, doing this stupid thing, discussing something that won't lead anywhere, GO and start thinking, studying, creating, brain storming... it's the technology TIME! People arrived to the Moon, to Mars,... they created computers, cell phones,... And we Lebanese who were the first to create something (alphabet, boats...) we're sitting here doing nothing just watching the world advancing instead of taking advantage of our history and stay in the lead.
(yeah guyz each one of you can do something and change the world and leave its footprints {JUST BECAUSE WE'RE LEBANESE}, but sure not by sitting infront of your screens discussing this subject, but by using your smartness!)


I still have many things to say! but I don't want to waste anymore of my precious time, while I can do something that will make my name gets mentioned in the future history books

hehehehehe i like your spirit ... so ambitious, so enthusiastic, and so youthful ...

Anyway this debate or any other debate is surely not a negative thing ... it's always healthy to see and listen to arguments and different point of views ...

If this debate changed a little thing or confirmed something inside just a single member or visitor then the purpose of this thread had reached its goal, and even if it didn't change anything it's also a positive thing ...
The aim isn't to solve or change the lebanese mentality or its social problems, but at least to be able to discuss them without restrains ...

so saying it's a stupid thing and waste of valuable time is something offensive to many (at least to my knowledge) ...
I don't think when you registered to this forum you were planning to create computers and cell phones and thinking about how you'll reach which planet in which galaxy !!!!!
